Have a display at Meet the Teacher or Open House of classroom supplies that you need for the classroom. Use “Lend a Hand” to display hands with one classroom item needed. Then let your families pick one or more classroom items needed.
Write a note home to parents and families. Ask parents and families to donate one item or more from the classroom supply list.
Not enough supplies in December or March? Give extra credit points to students who bring in classroom supplies. Kids and families will rise to the occasion to help fill the need for your classroom.
